Public Relations (PR) Chair:

The Public Relations Chair will oversee and manage all activities related to the LinkedIn page and alumni of the EIA Bridge Program UIUC chapter. With regard to LinkedIn, the chair will be responsible for developing posts and staying engaged with members and sponsors. With regard to alumni relations, the chair will be responsible for maintaining the alumni contact list, sourcing alumni testimonials, and developing the annual alumni newsletter. These tasks will serve to keep stakeholders outside of the organization informed and engaged.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in professional writing, particularly with regard to newsletters

  2. Experience with LinkedIn, either for personal or professional purposes

  3. Ability to write and assemble newsletters using resources such as Canva

  4. Ability to collaborate and coordinate with others on long-term projects

Industry Chair:

The Industry Chair(s) will manage all the activities and correspondence related to the corporate sponsors of the EIA Bridge Program UIUC chapter. The Industry Chair(s) will be responsible for maintaining contact with potential and current corporate sponsors throughout the school year and preparing all necessary proposals and updates. In addition, they will need to collaborate with representatives from current corporate sponsors to organize networking events. These tasks will serve to keep stakeholders engaged and maintain funding for the organization.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in professional writing, particularly with regard to emails and reports

  2. Experience in event planning 

  3. Ability to respond to emails in a timely manner 

  4. Ability to stay organized (following due dates, tracking correspondence, etc.)
